5 sentenced over sale of fake JAMB forms

Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede said five persons have been sentenced to various prison terms for selling fake JAMB forms to unsuspecting candidates.

Oloyede disclosed this yesterday in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists during the 2017 Nigerian Academy of Letters’ lecture organized by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
He said forms for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which is now scheduled for May 2017 are not yet on sale, adding that the Board has embarked on  massive prosecution of individuals and syndicates engage in the selling of the fake forms.

The Board, according to him, has no plan to hike the price of JAMB forms, stressing that he will be the last person to increase the burden of parents.
